Dummy CCTV CameraIf you’ve been looking at getting a CCTV system installed then you may have heard the phrase ‘remote monitoring’. If you’re wondering what remote monitoring is it is a very effective security solution that can protect your property whether commercial or domestic from all forms of crime.

Remote monitoring is when your CCTV system is connected to a third party remote monitoring station via the internet. This means that if your property is targeted by an intruder or any other form of unusual activity is detected, then an alarm is sent by your CCTV system to the remote monitoring station where an operator will view the live footage and assess and investigate the situation. They will notify the police and/or relevant emergency services who will then come out to deal with the matter.

Some remote monitoring systems go a step further and when an incident is spotted, an audio warning is broadcast throughout your property which almost always results in the intruder fleeing the property empty handed.
Remote monitoring is well worth considering as the extra cost is soon offset in the extra protection that it gives your property.
