Now Herefordshire taxi drivers may need to install CCTV

Taxi drivers in Herefordshire may be required to fit CCTV cameras to their vehicles if council plans are given the go-ahead.

The local council said it was looking into making CCTV cameras compulsory within many licensed vehicles and were looking to have them fitted within the next three years.

It is part of the council’s campaign to improve safety for passengers and drivers.

The Council has already begun talking to and gathering views of the county’s drivers.
