CCTV catching litter bugs in Scotland

CCTV is normally used for catching criminals breaking into various properties, and is also utilised in a bid to curb anti-social behaviour in public places, but now CCTV is being called for in a Scottish city to catch people dropping litter.

You may think that this is a little harsh, and an expensive way of catching people, but many have urged for cameras to be put up as more and more rats are appearing in the city, feasting on litter that has been dumped.

Johnstone town centre has seen a rise in the number of rats and this is being put down to the amount of litter being thrown away by people walking the streets.

The call for more CCTV in this area does not just stop with the rats, however; cameras are also being sought after the failed abduction of a woman only a couple of weeks ago in the very same area.
